Restoring The Soul & RTS Weekend Intensive
7175 W Jefferson Ave Suite 4400, Lakewood, CO 80235
All staff, including, but not limited to full-time, part-time, administrative, support, volunteer, and therapists at Restoring the Soul, Inc. are required to abide by the legal and ethical standards that pertain to client confidentiality (with certain clinical exceptions such as child abuse, elder abuse, danger to self/others, etc.). In Colorado and most other states, licensed counselors can be penalized, (including loss of professional license and right to practice) when confidentiality is violated. Additionally, violations of confidentiality are one of the most frequent reasons for which clients file grievances with the licensing board and/or pursue lawsuits.
Maintaining confidentiality serves several essential purposes: (1) Protecting clients by building a foundation of trust and safety and preventing unauthorized disclosures of personal information. (2) Protecting counseling staff by ensuring staff operate within laws, regulations, and ethics (3) Protecting the reputation of Restoring the Soul, Inc. whose services depend upon the assurance of privacy and the guarantee of confidentiality. (4) Providing basic honor and dignity to each client and their story.
For purposes of clarity, confidentiality and privacy are defined below
